Our origin
A little girl, a question and an editorial vision.
Cuentos con Alegría began with the arrival of a little girl and the wish to share with her the films, stories and emotions that formed part of her family’s memories.
That wish gave rise to a publishing house that transforms memories into completely original children’s works: its own characters, plots, texts, illustrations and universes.

When I found out that Luca y su fiesta grew from the feeling of Home Alone, I was thrilled to read it with my children. To them, Luca is a brand-new character; to me, the story brings back that mix of adventure, imagination and Christmas that marked my own childhood.
Home Alone was one of the films I watched most as a child, so I loved finding a way to bring that feeling to my son. The story doesn't repeat the film: it creates a new, age-appropriate adventure that keeps that same spirit of imagination, family and courage.
